It began as a collaboration between Mike Blumberg (Guitar) and Stephen Thurston (Keys), who were introduced by a mutual friend shortly after Thurston's arrival in Los Angeles. The chemistry was instant. After many hours of jamming, writing and discovering shared musical influences, Eli Cherry (Drums) was brought in to complete the band. Enter The HEAVY WAITS!
